ADVERTISING TERMS: Advertising
must be paid in accordance with terms appearing on the invoice. Discounts
rely upon continued prompt payment and fulfillment of contractual
agreements. The publisher maintains the right to pull advertising
if past-due amount appears on the Accounts Receivable report when
the current issue of the magazine goes to press. Advertiser and/or
agency hereby agree to: abide by the terms of the publications
most current advertising rate card; furnish advertisements within
the magazine's published deadlines; meet payment schedules and terms;
and hold publisher harmless from any and all liability.
NEW ADVERTISERS: Full payment
in U.S. dollars must be received prior to appearing in the magazine.
A check, money order, VISA or MasterCard must accompany the first
insertion and all insertions thereafter unless other terms have
been approved. Once approved - after the first contract year - payment
is due upon receipt of invoice.
CONTRACT RESPONSIBILITY: Advertisers
assume full responsibility to mail, fax, email or phone copy changes
to publisher by the advertising deadline. If new copy has not been
received by the deadline, the advertiser's previous ad will be repeated.
A proof of the ad and an invoice will be faxed or e-mailed to the
contact person on file; if a fax number or e-mail address isn't
available, every attempt will be made to mail a printed copy of
the ad. If time is at a premium, the publisher will use his best
judgment as to the accuracy of the ad copy based upon information
furnished by the advertiser. If we do not hear from the advertiser
within 24 hours of delivering the proof, we will assume that the
advertiser has approved the content, design and layout of the ad.
The Big Show Journal will not be held responsible for errors.
DISPLAY ADVERTISING: Advertisers
on contract for 1/8 to full page ads may change their ad size each
issue. The publisher must be notified by each designated deadline;
ad sizes cannot be changed after the published deadline date. Business
Card and Web Directory advertising remains the same throughout the
contract year. Premium placement is available for an additional
fee.
AUTOMATIC CONTRACT RENEWALS: Contracts
will be automatically renewed on the anniversary of the contract
each year unless otherwise notified 30 days in advance of the deadline
date. Advertising will be billed from the most current rate card
and guaranteed for six consecutive issues. Rate increases will not
be applied until the following contract year.
CONTRACT CANCELLATIONS: A contract
may be canceled by the advertiser in writing 30 days prior to the
next scheduled deadline. If a contract is canceled before the full
six consecutive issue program has been completed, cancellation is
subject to repayment of any charges previously waived or discounted
for any reason, such as discounts for contract advertisers. Discounts
and waived charges will be added to and due upon receipt of final
statement. The publisher reserves the right to hold the advertiser
and/or its advertising agency jointly and severally liable for payment
due.
SERVICE CHARGES:
As of January
1, 2006, a service charge of 2% per month or 24% per year will be
added to all accounts 30 days past due.
COLLECTION OF BAD DEBTS: If
it becomes necessary to turn an account over to attorneys or a collection
agency for payment, the advertiser will be responsible for paying
interest and any fees that result from the collection action.
